Ní neart go cur le chéileThere is strength in unity.Meaning, pronunciation and source →

What to do

  1. Print the card sheet twice and cut out all the cards, so each saying card and each meaning card appears twice.
  2. Before you play, lay each saying card next to its meaning card. Use the list of sayings on this page to check. Listen to each saying on its page if you can.
  3. Shuffle the cards and deal them face down so everyone has a pile.
  4. Take turns to turn your top card over onto a shared pile in the middle.
  5. Say snap when the top two cards belong to the same saying: the same card twice, or a saying and its meaning. No slapping: just say it.
  6. The first to say snap wins the middle pile. Check the pair together before they take it. The player with the most cards when time is up wins.
